Conflicts: Squirrels can easily lower the value of a home, and pester homes with bird feeders. They chew on soffits, eaves, and wires. They usually nest in attics and chimneys.
Safety Concerns: When squirrels chew on electrical wires, they can cause building fires. If a squirrel is nesting in a chimney it poses a fire hazard because they will gnaw and weaken rafters. Squirrels also carry many parasites and diseases.
Reproduction: When squirrels breed they chase one another and make a lot of noise, and have about 3 babies. They usually breed in January.
